Central Oklahoma Veterinary Emergency
"We're here to help in a time of need"
Our office call is $51.00. This includes an immediate assessment by a veterinary assistant, a thorough examination by our DVM, and a written estimate for all services deemed necessary by our Veterinarian.
After being shown to one of our examination rooms, your information will be entered into Avimark, our paperless veterinary records system.
A veterinary assistant will quickly assess your pet by taking their temperature, getting a weight, taking their heart rate and respiration rate. They will take a brief history of your pet's condition and bring in the veterinarian.
Our Doctor will come in and perform a complete physical examination on your pet. At this time, we will put an estimate together completely tailored to your pet's needs. A technician will go over the estimate with you, and you will be able to let us know what diagnostics you would like us to perform on your pet.
No matter what the problem, we have the equipment to treat your animal with the most thorough care and the most attentive animal care specialists. We have employees hired with the sole purpose of monitoring your patient from the time they enter our ICU facility, until they are picked up in the morning.
If your pet has to stay for bloodwork, feel free to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of lemonade in our lobby. We have sofas, magazines, and a television for your entertainment. We don't want your pet to be the only one getting the star treatment around here!
If your pet has to stay overnight for hospitalization, you are more than welcome to visit with them in our treatment and intensive care room. We strongly believe animals are not only treated by medications and diagnostics, but by being nursed back to health. This is why our animal care specialists are so important to the success of your pet's health.
If you are unable to pick up your pet to take them to their regular daytime veterinarian in the morning, we provide a $10.00 transport service to your regular day practice. We will take the animal, the records, and all radiographs and diagnostic information we have run on your pet.
At Central Oklahoma Veterinary Emergency, we believe a strong working relationship with your pet's regular care taker is of utmost importance, and we strive to keep a positive relationship with all daytime veterinarians. We are always available to answer any questions they have and always recommend your recheck with your regular veterinarian the day after your pet is seen at COVE.
